PPF is a film applied over painted surfaces to help protect the original paint from stone chips, road debris, minor scratches, environmental contaminants, UV exposure and everyday wear.
A film and a coating are not the same thing. PPF is a physical layer over the paint. A surface protection coating is made for a particular surface and gives it properties such as hydrophobic performance, gloss, water repellency, stain resistance, contaminant resistance or easier cleaning, depending on the product. Where the two are compatible they can be used together.
We go over the paint and record the scratches and chips already there.
The car is washed and decontaminated so nothing is sealed under the film.
Each panel is prepared for the film to adhere properly.
The pattern for your exact model is selected in the cutting software.
The film is cut panel by panel to that pattern.
Each piece is laid onto the panel it was cut for.
Edges, corners and complex curves are worked in by hand.
A final check for alignment, bubbles, contamination, edges and finish.
Final clean, walk-round and warranty documentation.
